This is a note from another organization who was helped by your donated items.

We did find many wonderful, much needed things. Many families will be helped with these items. We were able to add a bigger selection to our clothing giveaway that we are holding on March 22, and we also were able to find many specific baby items that people have been needing, but unable to afford. Is this something we would be able to participate in again? If so, please let us know, I would greatly appreciate it!

another way your donated items help others

We are so grateful to you for allowing us to participate in the Blessing Closet.  As you may know, we have over 500 children in foster care in Davidson County ranging in age from newborn to 18 years.

We were able to get khaki pants, jeans, school uniform tops, casual tops, and many other items for the children in foster care.  Today, we had a 17-year-old youth come into the clothing room that we operate.  She only had the one outfit that she was wearing.  She came into foster care for abuse/neglect and both of her parents died within the last year.  It was important for us to be able to provide for this teen.

We could not support our youth without your help.  Words cannot express our gratitude!

Where do my donated items go?

Have you ever wondered where the items you donate go? Here is just one way your items help others.

I am the Director of Grace Pregnancy Resource Center, an organization dedicated to helping women who are experiencing pregnancy in difficult circumstances.  The women we assist are usually facing an unplanned pregnancy while confronting a variety of challenges including domestic violence, limited financial resources, and dysfunctional relationships with partners or extended family.  Our goal is to help these women obtain the items they need in order parent an infant with minimal stress.

Today, from the Blessings Closet, I was able to pick out infant clothing, a baby bath tub, infant bedding, a bouncy seat and some items for older siblings.  We will offer these necessities to our clients so that they can better provide for and care for their families.  Our organization has a limited budget so we cannot afford to purchase all the baby necessities we provide to our clients.  The donations I picked up today will bless several families and we are extremely grateful for your support.
